About

Founded on November 2, 2015, the African Students Association of Zurich (ASAZ) is dedicated to representing African students at higher education institutions in Zurich.

Our mission is to present Africa from an authentic perspective and raise awareness about African issues within Zurich’s academic community. Through a diverse array of events, workshops, and initiatives, we strive to celebrate African cultures, heritage, and create meaningful connections among students in Zurich.

Whether through cultural showcases or educational seminars, we aim to enrich the student experience and foster a deeper understanding of Africa and its contributions to the global community.

We are dedicated to supporting our members in their academic and professional endeavors, providing resources and networking opportunities to help them succeed both academically and in industry.

Whether you have African roots or not, ASAZ extends a warm welcome to you. Our inclusive community embraces anyone passionate about celebrating African cultures and encouraging connections within Zurich’s academic landscape.

As a non-profit organization governed by Swiss Civil Code, ASAZ is committed to creating a supportive environment for African students, welcoming newcomers and promoting African cultures.

ASAZ is not commercially, politically and religiously motivated and operates through three main bodies: the General Assembly, the Board, and the Control Body, ensuring effective leadership and accountability.
